Not automatically. As recorded from the official FAQ on September 7, 2026, each included spouse or eligible unmarried child under 21 carries an additional US$15,000 processing fee and an additional US$1 million gift. The company and the manager must decide who pays those and confirm the current terms before any payment.
Building the household figure
Begin with a list of the people who would actually relocate. The official FAQ says a spouse or unmarried child under 21 who is intended to join through the Gold Card Program should be included in the initial application so that the family member receives the program's privileges, including expedited processing; a child who will be 21 before the process completes may not remain eligible as a child. For each person who is included, add the published processing fee and gift as recorded on the dated source, and confirm those figures on the official page the day the decision is made.
Then decide, in writing, whether the company or the manager bears the family amounts; sponsorship that covers the household is a very different commitment from sponsorship of the employee alone. Compare that total with L-1A, where a spouse and children under 21 receive L-2 status with no gift and the spouse is employment-authorized incident to status. Each family member's eligibility and admissibility is examined individually, and a payment neither preserves a child's age nor cures an admissibility issue.
