The I-526E filing fee, any regional-center administrative fee, immigrant visa or adjustment fees for each family member when a visa is available, and the I-829 fee two years later, with medical, biometric, translation and professional costs on top. Confirm each government amount against the current USCIS fee schedule.
Three government stages, each with its own charges
EB-5 costs arrive at three points. At filing, the investor pays the Form I-526E fee, and if the investment is through a regional center there is usually an administrative fee to the project that is separate from the capital and not returned. When a visa becomes available, each family member pays for either adjustment of status inside the United States or an immigrant visa at a consulate, plus the medical examination and biometrics.
Two years into conditional residence the family files Form I-829 with its own fee. All government amounts are on USCIS Form G-1055 and are revised periodically. Professional fees cover petition preparation and the source-of-funds work, which for a Shannon investor combining a share buy-back with an inheritance means translating notarial estate documents and corporate agreements; ask whether that is included.
Financial diligence on the project, tax advice on the buy-back and on leaving Canada, and estate advice on the inheritance are separate and belong before the wire, because immigration approval does not protect the capital.
